We now offer a low cost spay/neuter program to the public. There are no restrictions, but we hope that people with a good income will not apply and let other, less-fortunate pet owners take advantage of this program.
The cost for dogs is $50 to spay or neuter, and for cats is $40 to spay or neuter. Extra fees apply if your animal is in heat or pregnant. We prefer you wait to have them spayed because this incurs a charge for you of $35 to $75 dollars. Dogs that weigh between 60-99 pounds incur a charge of up to $30, and dogs weighing more than 100 pounds are charged at the vet's discretion.
All owners must have proof of their pet's rabies and distemper vaccines. If a pet is not current on vaccines, they can be vaccinated on the day of their appointment at the owner's expense. Vaccinations are approximately $34 for dogs and $32 for cats, which needs to be paid to the vet.
To get an appointment through our low-cost spay and neuter program, you must visit the P.A.W.S. office located at 1125 West 1130 North in St. George to fill out an application. At that time we will collect the money for the spay and neuter. All other charges are collected at the vet's office.
For more information or to make an appointment, please call the P.A.W.S. office at 435-688-9748. Please take advantage of these low prices so you can be part of the solution and not part of the problem of pet overpopulation! Remember this program is open to the public…no rescue groups or ferals please!
